With both sides needing to call players up when Woodchester A played host to Phoenix A, a close match was always on the cards and although no one player could dominate an all-round team performance from the visitors enabled them to leave with a 6-4 victory.

Division 2: Alan Giles showed his class as he was unbeaten for Forest Green B when they entertained Thornbury B in a match that ended all square at 5-5.

Randwick B played Phoenix D, and in another 5-5 draw. Mike Davis finished as man-of-the-match for the visitors.

George Thomas was man-of-the-match for Cam & Dursley A as he went unbeaten in their 7-3 victory against the visiting Frampton C.

Nailsworth A and visitors Whiteshill A could not be separated as the two sides finished in a draw with no player being able to take command.

The experience of man-of-the-match Bob Murray and Steve Porter was too much for the weakened visitors from Randwick A as the home side won 9-1.

Division 3: Phoenix F suffered a 3-7 defeat at home to Whiteshill B, with the visitors Steve Partridge hitting a fine maximum.

Cam & Dursley B lost 2-8 at home to Woodchester C, the visitors Barry Morgan was man-of-the-match with a maximum.

Thornbury C’s Steve Biles and Graham Eden both scored maximums as they defeated the visiting Randwick C 8-2.

In the Phoenix derby the G team lost 3-7 at home to their E team with Andrew Jarvis going unbeaten on the night in singles play.

Division 4: Randwick D were helped by a Mark Edwards maximum to beat their E team 7-3.

Dave Watson returned a maximum, which inspired Nailsworth B to a 7-3 victory against local rivals Phoenix H.

Glan Watkins scored a maximum, which helped his Frampton D team share the spoils with the visiting Cam & Dursley C. Thomas Spellman made the difference with a fine maximum as Phoenix I beat their rivals from Forest Green C 6-4.
