What would a last supper in Pompeii have looked like? Bisley's history society is finding out next month.
Dr Paul Roberts of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford is visiting the village hall on Tuesday, November 6 to give a talk on food and drink in Roman society.
His lecture, which is entitled 'Last Supper in Pompeii' and begins at 7.30pm, comes ahead of a new exhibition on how the Romans feasted at the Ashmolean next year.
He previously worked at the British Museum in London where he curated an exhibition entitled 'Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum' in 2013.
