A lorry has overturned as a result of a serious crash on the A419 near Stroud, closing the road.
Reports say that accident happened at around 9am, on the M5 roundabout near Whitminster.
Because of the crash, the A419 is closed between the M5 junction 13, northbound exit slip road and the A38.
An air ambulance has been called to the scene.
Queues are building on the exit slip roads heading up to the roundabout.
Highways England advise motorists to consider alternative routes for Stroud.
