Love and wisdom

IN JULY this year I went to Naturally Supernatural where at one point I had a bit of a rant at God.

I basically said “How am I supposed to do things for you (I have kidney failure).

He responded by saying, “You still have tools to use, so use them.”

I questioned this with, “Tools? What tools?”

He said, “You have love and wisdom so use them.”

Three things have happened since returning from Naturally Supernatural, where I have started to use the tools of love and wisdom.

The first was when a mother approached me in a church that I was visiting.

She knew me and told me that her son would like a mentor, a Christian male role model to help direct him.

I jumped at this opportunity without hesitation.

Secondly, a local school had recently lost the person that was leading their Christian Union and I was asked if I would like to be part of a new team that was being put together to continue this work.

Again I instantly jumped at this opportunity.

It has been ten years since I have been involved in a similar lunchtime club in another school, but it felt great knowing that God could still use me.

The third thing was being asked to “preach” in church.

It had been over two years since I had previously brought the word in any church and I wasn’t feeling very confident, instantly I found myself saying “Yes”.

I had love and wisdom and that would be enough to ensure that I could do this with all my might.

So what stage of life are you at?

Have you been questioning the abilities that you have which God can use?

What are you going to do about it?

I am sure that you will be like me, you have love and wisdom so why don’t you start by using that and use it with all of your might?

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your might.
