An artist has produced two Christmas card designs to help out Stroud's foodbanks ahead of the festive season.

Beth Whittaker has donated 500 cards with her own design to Stroud District Foodbank so all proceeds can be used for its work helping those in crisis.

The cards are A6 in size and blank inside, so they can also be used as notelets.

They have been printed by Facsim, which was previously based in Chalford but has now moved to new offices in Cirencester when it acquired Thumbprint.

For a donation of £10 plus postage and packaging you will receive eight cards, four of each design.

"The card is of exceptionally high quality and the overall product is wonderful," said foodbank manager Sue Beattie.

"The first 500 cards sold out within about 10 days so we paid for a reprint of 500 cards, again by Facsim."
