A fish and chip shop is opening in Minchinhampton tomorrow.

The Chip Shed is bringing the nation's favourite back to Minchinhampton in the site of the town's old takeaway on West End, which has been empty for ten months.

Self-described fish and chip enthusiasts Dan Chuter and Gregg Howard are heading it up and already own  a shop in Warwick.

"We're very excited to be here. We're proud to say we're award winning so hopefully there's something to shout about," said Dan.

Stroud News and Journal:

Gregg is also the president of the National Federation of Fish Fryers.

Fish on the menu are cod, haddock, plaice, lemon sole and hake, and classics like scampi and sausage will also be on offer alongside battered halloumi.

The Shed is opening its doors at 4pm on Saturday, November 3 - just before fireworks at Minchinhampton School that begin at 5pm.
