RESIDENTS will parade through Stroud town centre at this year’s insect themed Goodwill Evening in December.

Families can visit Santa’s Grotto as well as enjoy a host of other activities - there will even be mulled wine for the adults.

The ‘fabulous insect’ themed evening has been chosen because the community celebrated the sea last year - so it is only fair that insects get a chance to display their beauty.

In terms of activities, there will be a lantern making workshop between 10am and 4pm on December 2 at Lansdown Hall & Gallery to prepare for the Goodwill Evening.

Of course, schools will be getting involved as usual and making their own lanterns.

Additionally, there will be live music, a Christmas market at the Cornhill, a craft fair in Merrywalks, a traditional fairground in Fawkes Place and much more.

Visitors can also enjoy a treasure hunt based in the shops around town where shops may stay open as late as 9pm.

This year the Goodwill Evening will take place on December 7 and the procession will start at 6pm outside the Subscription Rooms in George Street.

It is the last year that Kardien Gerbrands and Lis Parker will be organising the Goodwill Evening.
