Strong winds have forced the bridge to close
Strong winds have forced the M48 Severn Bridge crossing to close.
The bridge is closed both ways between J2 A466 (Chepstow) and J1 A403 (Aust).
It closed eastbound heading from Wales into England.
A main carriageway closure remains in place westbound with traffic still able to enter from England into Wales.
Motorists are being told to divert using the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
A number of wind and rain warnings have been issued by the Met Office.
