FOREST Green Rovers came away with a credible 0-0 draw against League One Oxford United in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Here's how Rovers players rated.

Montgomery - 7

Made two decent saves but had little else to do, solid display.

Winchester - 6

Was again filling in at right-back and did a decent job. Booked in the second half.

Rawson - 7

Played ahead of Gavin Gunning. Made some great recovey challenges and looked solid.

McGinley - 7

Started at centre back and moved to left-back. Was excellent going forward and set up George Williams' late chance.

Archibald - 6

Started at left back. Gavin Whyte caused him a few problems before he moved to the wing. Should have done better with a chance in the first half but fashioned a good chance for himself with a good run in the second half.

Digby - 8

Started in midfield before moving to centre back. He won tackles, won headers and very little got past him.

James - 5

Not his usual self at Oxford. Gave the ball away a handful of times in the first half.

Campbell - 6

Worked really hard for the cause, buzzing around the pitch. Played a nice cut back to set up Archibald early on.

Brown - 6

Linked up play well at times. He should have done a lot better with the chance that fell his way. Expected him to hit the target given his recent scoring form.

Grubb - 7

Went past players so elegantly at times. Did brilliantly to set up Brown's chance in the second half.

Reid - 6

Looks like he's still working his way to match sharpness. Good 90 minutes under his belt.

Substitutes

Williams - 7

Made a good impact from the bench. Unlucky not to score after hitting the post in the last minute.

Worthington - 6

Came on in the 88th minute. Had little time to make an impact.
