A CLASSIC car with a long Dursley history will sadly not be returning to the town for the Lister's reunion.
The pale blue Jaguar XK150 purchased by Sir Percy Lister in 1961 for his wife, Lady Geraldine, was to have attended the annual Lister reunion on December 1 at the Chantry Centre.
Hugh Tipper, the Lister reunion organiser, had arranged for the Jaguar to be on show for all to see as they attend the event.
However, due to a mechanical problem, the car's visit has been cancelled.
"Regrettably, the current owner has just advised that due to a clutch/gearbox problem, he will be unable to bring the car to Dursley as planned," said Hugh.
The Lister reunion will go ahead as planned in the Chantry Centre on December 1.
