A spate of break-ins hit Chalford on Friday night, with one incident leading to a car being stolen.

A white VW Golf was stolen from a house on Robin Close after a burglar broke-in through the kitchen window and took the car keys as well as a wallet.

There were also two attempted break-ins in Padin Close and Hawk Close on the same night.

The village's parish council say the break-ins are "worrying".

"We are usually an area of low crime rate so to have three incidents in one evening in worrying," it posted on Facebook.

"Please be extra vigilant with your household security and report any suspicious activity to the police."

Police are asking anyone who sees the car, which has registration number SE17AYB and looks like the picture below, to get in touch.

If you see it being driven, please dial 999.

If you see it parked and unattended, call 101.

The incident number to quote is 87 of November 17.
