Strangers will be gathering in Nailsworth this week in an effort to demystify an important but uncomfortable subject.

The Canteen in the town will be hosting a so-called Death Cafe, a drop-in session designed to bring people together to talk about all aspects of death and dying.

Death Cafes are hosted around the UK as part of a movement to demystify and normalise the subject founded by Jon Underwood.

The only requirement is to buy a drink and some cake.

Nailsworth's Death Cafe is on Wednesday, November 28 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
