A standout performer and Stroud's latest star reached the finals of a hit CBBC talent show, and she's recorded a very special message for her hometown.

Seren, 13, sang her heart out throughout Got What It Takes, and Stroud responded - she beat hundreds of hopefuls en route to the finals.

Ultimately, Seren finished as a runner-up but on her journey, she gained an invaluable insight into the entertainment industry and worked with a host of stars including Olly Murs and John Newman.

"Thank you so much to Stroud for supporting me and helping me get to the finals of Got What It Takes," said Seren.

"It has been an amazing experience for me and it has changed me as a singer and as a person."

In the run up to the finals, Seren sung at Uplands Primary School, as well as Whiteshill Primary School.

She is passionate about giving younger children the motivation to follow their dreams.

This is particularly important to Seren as she has a form of cerebral palsy.

Because of this, she wants to be a role model for children who may feel a little bit different and may struggle to feel confident.
