PEOPLE who may be lonely or isolated are being invited to a sumptuous meal this Christmas.

Food-lovers can join members of the community for brunch at the Frith Youth Centre in Chalford - this comes as part of the latest initiative by Severn View Food Projects to provide comfort and support to older people.

Councillor Debbie Young, who represents Chalford and the project, wants everyone to be welcome.

“Pop in and see us if you’re alone or just fed up of the four walls of your house and need a walk,” said Mrs Young.

“You can pay want you want for bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon, pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, fresh homemade soups and cakes.”

The community brunch will take place on Friday, December 28 at the Frith Youth Centre in Brownshill, Chalford between 11am and 3pm.

There is no need to book in advance.
