A particularly clear view of Venus and the moon has been entrancing early risers in Gloucestershire.
The planet appears to the naked eye as a bright star close to the moon.
Although the peak brightness was on Sunday, December 2, it can still be seen when the sky is clear but dark in the early morning.
These pictures were taken by Rach Carter, of the Gloucestershire Camera Club on Facebook.
