The following is from Gerb's column from this week's SNJ (Dec 5).

It’s all happening this week with Goodwill Evening on Friday Evening and the farmers market on Saturday.

The market in the Cornhill on Goodwill evening will feature some great hot food provided by Saturday marketeers - Niang’s Thai, Hinton Marsh Farm Hog Roast, Adey’s Farm burgers and hot dogs, Funky Falafel and Salt Bakehouse Pizza oven. Plus mulled wine from Selsley Foods, Mulled Cider from Seb’s cider and Studio Pastry’s market café; not to mention a fabulous selection of local traders selling unique Christmas gifts under the twinkling lights.

Saturday will be another stonking market with over 50 businesses in attendance. Look out for traders who are not returning before Christmas, Sibling Gin is likely to be a popular stall as this is their only appearance in December. Their fabulous gin, beautifully presented and available in gift packs of blends, small or large bottles, is an absolute treat for Christmas. Our most local vineyard, Woodchester Valley Vineyard, are also in for their only appearance this month, so, wine lovers, will it be a bottle of Woodchester bubbly with your dinner? Treally Farm Charcuterie, the Old Cheese Room, Stainswick Farm Oil, Cotswold Handmade Soap, Painswick Honey and potters James Hazelgrove and Ann Sohn Rethel will all be at their only market in December.

Returning this week Julian Harvard and Tortworth Plants will be selling natural winter green wreaths, sprays and bouquets to decorate homes.
