An acclaimed explorer discussed the changing landscape of the Arctic with the Cotswold Naturalists' Field Club in Painswick last week.
The talk was led by David Fletcher, who has spent 39 years studying the polar regions with the Antarctic Survey.
Although they largely discuss the Cotswolds, they now seek to expand their horizons and hear about places further afield.
Talks encompass everything from natural history and the environment to antiques, heritage and culture.
Prospective visitors are welcome to join the group on the first Wednesday of the month at 2.30pm at the Painswick Centre in Bisley Street.
Entry costs £1 for members and £4 for non-members, it includes tea and biscuits after the talk.
