A CLOSE in Cirencester has pulled out all the stops again this year with a Christmas light display raising money for the air ambulance.
Six houses in Fosse Close officially turned on their light display on December 7, raising £100 for the Air Ambulance.
This is the second year that residents of Fosse Close have got together to put on a fantastic festive display.
Organiser, resident Lee Trotman, who lives at 62 Fosse Close, has been decorating his own home for the last six years. He said: “It is a lovely thing to do. It spreads a lot of Christmas spirit around the area.
“I have decorated my house for many years, but last year I persuaded my neighbour to let me decorate his. This year six houses got involved.
“I have always loved walking around and looking at Christmas lights. Next year we plan to go even bigger.”
This was a family affair and Lee’s nephew Liam put the lights up, as Lee was suffering was a foot condition.
Lee’s 11 year-old daughter Leah raised £40 on the night for a donkey sanctuary, running a tombola.
The Christmas lights in Fosse Close will be on until the New Year, accepting donations.
