A resident has called out the 'shameful' disposal of a Christmas tree in Nailsworth.
The resident sent pictures to the SNJ of the tree that appears to have been thrown down the bank of the Nailsworth Stream from the cycle track.
Whoever discarded the tree appears to have missed several disposal opportunities in aid of charity.
On January 2 only Copse and Loggers offered a chipping service for a donation of £5 in aid of Nailsworth Donkey Sanctuary and Teckels.
Likewise, hospice care charity Longfield had been offering a tree recycling service with doorstep collection in return for a donation.
Registration for the service closed on January 6, however.
Stroud District Council used to offer a tree recycling service but discontinued it in December 2017.
