The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity have thanked a 'kind gentleman' after their fuel was paid for at a petrol station.

The charity works to provide critical care at incidents at a rapid rate.

In just 3 months last year, the charity attended 262 incidents across Gloucestershire and 132 in South Gloucestershire.

A post on their Twitter page today thanked a man who paid for the fuel of one of the critical care vehicles that attend incidents.

On their page they said: "A very big thank you to the kind gentlemen who paid for our fuel for one of our critical care cars last night at Filton Tesco petrol station.

"Sorry we didn’t catch your name but thank you so much for stepping in and for your charitable donation."
