Parts of Saint Mary's Street in Painswick has been temporarily closed by the county council.
The street adjacent to the Royal Oak pub closed on January 9, so that a new water connection can be installed - Severn Trent Water have taken on the job.
Works are expected to carry on until at least Friday, January 11, so motorists may wish to avoid the area if passing through the village.
