Great British Bake Off semi-finalist Briony May is getting out of the kitchen to take on a completely fresh challenge of a 13-mile run for charity.
The star, who recently turned on the Christmas lights in Thornbury, will be running the Bath Half Marathon for Jessie May. They are an organisation in the area that offers stay at home care for terminally ill children and their families.
Briony, 34, has revealed she is hoping to raise £5000 for the event that is taking place on March 17.
When speaking about why she is taking part in the event, Briony said: Jessie May is an incredible charity and as a mother, I can't begin to imagine whatthe families are going through on a day to day basis.
"I just want to make a contribution that can hopefully make a difference.
"If you can make a donation to Jessie May and support local families, then please do."
