Keep the Faith!

THE new year is always the excuse for property professionals to indulge in an element of crystal ball gazing.

While Brexit is dominating everyone's thinking, whatever ultimately happens, the world will keep turning and owning their own home will still remain a fundamental aspiration for most people.

In the real world, interest and mortgage rates, are the main concern of most purchasers and these remain at historic lows.

The fundamentals for the residential property market in the Stroud Valleys and the Vale therefore remain strong.

High levels of employment and a strong local economy underpinned by good communications and excellent schools, attract a different sort of purchaser to other parts of the Cotswolds.

Ironically it was exactly these solid fundamentals that attracted the family to found Murrays Estate Agents 25 years ago.

Then as now, they believe that difficult trading conditions reward the pro-active agent.

Accordingly, Murrays remain positive for 2019 and will be introducing new and exciting ways to promote our client's properties while maintaining the traditional values associated with being a family firm, where the directors remain fully involved, to the benefit of clients and staff alike.

The former, as they know, will be receiving a truly personal service, the latter from having the confidence of having the discretion to use their initiative to 'think out of the box' and make sales happen!

To achieve the best price in 2019, it will however be even more important to present your property well.

In uncertain times, purchasers are more discerning and risk adverse.

Taking the trouble to prepare your home for marketing both inside and out, will repay your investment.

We have the advantage of knowing what really matters and our judicious advice has made clients thousands of pounds.

We are always prepared to come out and advise in complete confidence if you think it would be of help.

We look forward to hearing from you.
