It was a case of mistaken identity yesterday as people thought they had spotted Sex in the City star, Kim Cattrall.
The Golden Globe winner, best known for her role in the comedy series, was thought to have been spotted in Star Anise Café in Gloucester Street at about 10am, Thursday, January 24.
However, after tweeting reporter, Jaye McGowan, it seems that Kim was in fact "nowhere close".
@Jaye_McGowanNQ Mistaken identity I’m afraid. Nowhere close..

Ms Cattrall has received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress - so the excited response from several members of the public can be excused.
Additionally fans can be forgiven for their mistake as the famous actor, is rumoured to have visited the town before.
