A CIRENCESTER tailor is giving his local rugby team a boost.

Barrington Ayre tailors and bespoke shirtmakers have joined a list of new sponsors for Cirencester Rugby team, and now have their name emblazoned on the shorts of the club’s senior team.

Already known for producing the clothing for sports stars such as footballer Robbie Savage and ex England cricketer Michael Vaughan, Barrington Ayre, who are based in Cirencester's Market Place, have now turned their attention to rugby, and have spent the last three years as official tailor for Gloucester Rugby team.

Tom Wharton of Barrington Ayre, said: “As a Cirencester based tailor we are incredibly proud to have been asked to get involved.”

He added: “I have been a fan of the team for years and have just finished three years as the official tailor for Gloucester Rugby so am using this experience to hopefully bring success to my local team.

“I hope they will look as good off the pitch as they do on it and perhaps use some of our bespoke tailoring."
