CIRENCESTER talented singer Lilly Hobbs was placed fifth out of the 10,000 entries in the final of UK open Mic at the o2 indigo in London on Sunday, January 20.
Singing 'forever young' by Louisa Johnson, the 12-year old from Cirencester Kingshill School was also selected as a showcase winner receiving a meeting with professional company Future Music, to discuss further development.
The standard of the final was very high and Lilly's prior nerves did not last long as she produced an outstanding performance.
Her family and friends were out in full support at the o2.
Her mum Erika said: "I am extremely proud of what Lilly has achieved in such a short period of this competition!
"She has worked so much for this and has improved and grown so much as an artist on this journey.
"She is very excited to do her showcase now and take it further!"
The family also gave a special thank you to all the people who voted for Lilly. Over 400 votes were placed for her.
They also thanked Maria Jagusz, and Iwan Lewis who helped Lilly leading up to the final.
