An upcoming charity and walking group aims to raise thousands for Teckels Animal Sanctuaries after it almost collapsed in 2018.

The walking group, known as Two Guys and a Bull, bagged £2080 in support of the charity last year, but the money is now needed more than ever.

Founders of the charity, Ian Guy and Conrad Bull said: "We know Teckels have had a hard time recently, and they're such an important part of our community.

"So, we just want to ensure they keep going."

Each year Teckels re-home over 250 cats and 150 dogs.

They have also called out to members of the community who may wish to get involved.

"Anyone is welcome to join us on our next charity walk, just go to our Facebook page and give us a message," added Ian.

This year, the walk will take place on April 20, they will hike 28 miles from Newnham-on-Severn to Stroud Subscription Rooms via Whitminster.

Participants will dress up in different costumes for the slog to Stroud, as they represent a charity Ian says, "are a central part of our community".

Ian Guy said: "The reactions were brilliant last year one lady tracked us for miles to give us a a box of ice creams."
