WATERMOOR Primary became the only school to open in Cirencester today.

With 23 staff able to get to the Kingshill site, the school was able to receive pupils, although parents and children had been advised to walk as the car park was not considered safe.

Although some children were unable to make the journey, an impressive 93 were able to get to school.

Headteacher Sarah Fox said: "We have lots of wonderful staff who have been able to get into work safely today and this has enabled Watermoor Primary School to remain open as usual.

"The children have really enjoyed their day at school in the snow and we would like to say thank you to all our families who have ventured in today."
