OVER 65s looking for love could be if for a night to remember when a retirement village and care home in Cirencester opens to the public for a special dating night.
Stratton Court, run by Aura Care Living, is inviting single over 65s into their restaurant for the special dating evening on Thursday, February 14.
The event, which will include champagne and canapes in the ticket cost, could cause controversy as the care home withdrew plans to open the restaurant to the public last November after local opposition.
Stratton Court’s Peter Lloyd said: “The Kensington is such a romantic setting and a great environment for socialising.
“We have never heard of a date night for the over 65s and we believe that we can provide a suitable setting within Stratton Court. We are not trying to play cupid, we see it as an excellent opportunity for people of a certain age to socialise."
The evening is a ticketed event and is only open to over 65s. Champagne, canapés and entrance is £10 per person. The event will begin at 6pm.
