Somebody has stolen roses from the front of a florist in Stonehouse for the third Valentine's Day in a row.

At around 8.45am this morning two men made off with two tubs of roses from a display at the front of The Flower Shop on the town's high street.

"It happened last year and the year before that," explained Rachel Smith from the shop.

"Our barber across the road thankfully got one of the tubs back, but it's very frustrating when you've been up working on the display the night before."

Rachel said the thieves had a white van waiting round the back.

Mark Watkins, a former SNJ photographer, was due to make deliveries for the shop and had arrived five minutes after the theft to load up.

"Five minutes later and the chase would have been on!" he said.

If you have any information that can help Rachel and the rest of the team, call police on 101 quoting incident number 79 of February 14.
