The following is taken from this week's Farmer's Market column.

Wow, we’ve got a great selection of stalls at the market this week! Numbers are back to normal after the early year lull and some of your old favourites, such as La Parisienne, Tewkesbury made French bread and patisserie, VQ Country Wines, home of the delightful Blaisdon Plum Wine (a personal favourite!), Lishkin’s Preserves, with jams and chutneys, David’s Chilli oils and The Garlic Farm, with four varieties of seed garlic: Elephant, Solent Wight, Red Duke and Provence, will all be in attendance.

There are also a few stalls that are relatively new to the market such as Maryanne, the scone queen, The Happy Gut Hut with a range of Kombucha Flavours, Tom the blacksmith, Artisan Ales of Minchinhampton with bottle conditioned real ale and Little Earthquake Pots showing their wares this week.

Ceri Cryer, of Brinkworth Dairy has been named as a Dairy Ambassador at the British Dairying Cream awards which were created to recognise some of the brightest and best businesses and people across the dairy industry. The awards drive positive forward thinking and recognise the innovation and success in the dairy industry, promoting best practice and excellence from technical production and husbandry to marketing and export skills. Ceri was chosen to share her positive vibes about the dairy industry to an audience that engage with her unique style and enthusiasm for the product. The enthusiasm certainly shows through on the stall with the exceptional Wiltshire Loaf cheese and marvellously rustic butter just two items available at the market every week. Well done Ceri!
