The M49 has reopened after a crane crashed into a bridge yesterday (Monday), closing the motorway in both directions.
The motorway remained closed over night but reopened this morning when the crane was recovered.
After the accident, which happened yesterday afternoon, traffic was temporarily held, with the motorway closed in its entirety.
Police attended the scene and a structural engineer was asked to advise on any damage to the bridge.
