An Alveston hotel is joining in with Dementia UK’s biggest ever tea party.
Employees at Alveston House Hotel are taking part in the charity’s 10th annual Time for a Cuppa campaign.
They will be baking sweet and savoury items as well as serving tea and coffee at an event from 11am-2pm on Saturday, March 2.
Money raised will fund specialist nurses for families going through the toughest cases of dementia.
Carole Crawshaw, general manager of Alveston House Hotel said: “Having recently hosted a training course to help understand how to support people with Dementia we felt this was a perfect opportunity to raise valuable funds.
“Through baking and getting together with friends and family, we can help play our part in supporting people through one of the most challenging conditions out there.”
Dr. Hilda Hayo, chief admiral nurse at Dementia UK, said: “More families are in need of support which is why we’re so grateful to Alveston House Hotel for bringing everyone together.”
