The family of Jason Gapper, the man found dead in Belgium last week, have received huge support from the community.

Jason was found in a river after being reported missing for 36 hours whilst at a wedding abroad.

His family were on their way to join the search however were informed of his death before they completed their journey.

Since then it was revealed that they would need £7000 in order to bring home his body.

A Gofundme page was then created to help support them during the difficult time.

Since it's formation last week, over £3,500 has been raised from various contributors online.

Within just 8 days over 215 donated, with some giving as much as £100 to the cause.

Leanne Pitt, the creator of the page and Jason's Aunt thanked everyone for their help.

"Just want to say a massive thank you again to absolutely every single person," she said on the page.
