A STAND-UP comedy night in Cirencester raised £340 for Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life.
The Golden Cross Inn on Black Jack Street was the venue for the event set up by local comedian Rob Grace who brought together eight stand-up comics.
Performers included, Sam Fraser, the highly rated Christian Russell-Pollock, Bristol based Becky Povall and Rob himself.
Rob Grace said: “My wife is a member of one of the Relay for Life teams and was really the one behind it. It was a great night and I am now looking to set up a regular comedy night for the town.”
Mark Lindesay, landlord of the Arkell’s pub, said: “The Stable Bar was perfect for this and I am pleased Rob is looking to come and do more events like this. I might even ask for a slot so I had better get my joke book out.”
