Stroud Valleys Music Club meet this evening Wednesday, March 13. Wendy Hill from the Elgar Museum will talk on the life and music of Edward Elgar.

Stonehouse History Group: This evening Wednesday March 13 Tony Conder will give a presentation on Royal Gloucester. It has been proposed that Gloucester should ask to become Royal Gloucester because of its long connection with Monarchs. This talk looks at Gloucester’s Royal History and how towns and cities have gained the status of ‘Royal’ over the centuries.

Lent lunches at St Joseph’s. Joins us for a delicious bowl of homemade soup every Friday during Lent. All proceeds to the Stroud Beresford Women’s Refuge.

Cotswold AONB Wardens’ Walks: This Saturday March 16 meet at Old Sodbury Church to walk on the Cotswold Way to Hawkesbury Common, Hawkesbury Upton and join the Cotswold Way back to Horton. 10 miles, 5.5hours. Keeping Stonehouse Tidy This Sunday March 17 the regular and dedicated team of litter pickers will be meeting at 2pm at the Youth Pod Old Ends Lane. All equipment provided. Newcomers always welcome. We litter pick for an hour and then back to the Pod for a cuppa and piece of home made cake.

Parkrun happens every Saturday promptly at 9am on the field on Oldends Lane. It is for everyone - experienced runners and beginners, old and young – just come along and join in. It is free for all.
