Police are warning van owners to remain vigilant after two men wearing distinctive clothing tried stealing tools from a works van.
A description of two suspects said one of them was wearing a 'flat hat similar to those seen in Peaky Blinders.'
The attempted break-in happened last night, Tuesday, March 26, at around 10.40pm in Leonard Stanley.
Two men tried to break into a van parked on the owner's drive but were unsuccessful.
A Gloucestershire police spokesperson said: "The suspects were two white males in their thirties, one of whom was wearing a gilet jacket and the other was wearing a flat hat similar to those seen in Peaky Blinders."
Police are urging van owners to be aware and to check their vehicles are locked and secured.
If you think a crime is in progress please call 999, or 101 in a non-emergency situation.
