CIRENCESTER Camera Club announced the results of its March competition at a meeting last month.
The judge for the fifth competition was Mike Dales, associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS), from Bristol.
He kept members entertained at the meeting on March 11 with anecdotes from his long and distinguished photographic career whilst giving fresh perspectives and a helpful critique of the various submissions.
Competition results are:
Set Subject (Transport) - Prints: First place, John Hankin, second Martyn Smith, third David Wallis
Projected: First Martyn Smith, second Colin Hoskin and third John Hankin. Paul Jones and Mike Cheeseman were highly commended and Ben Jarvis II was commended.
Open - Prints: First Jamie Stenson, second John Hankin and third Mike Cheeseman. David Wallis was highly commended.
Projected - First Mike Cheeseman, second Stephen Chapman and third John Hankin. Ben Jarvis II and Carlo Vuolo were highly commended and Carol Thorne and Martyn Smith were commended.
Cirencester Camera Club meets Monday evenings from September to May, excluding Bank Holidays, upstairs at the Parish Rooms, Gosditch Street, Cirencester. 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Visitors welcome. Visit cirencestercameraclub.org.uk for more.
