Vandals who have been spray painting graffiti across a Cotswolds town has prompted a police investigation.

In the past week, vandals in Moreton-in-Marsh have been targeting residents and their garden fences.

Police have also been made aware of graffiti that has appeared on the footbridge at Moreton train station, where CCTV is available.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: "We have received a number of similar reports of the same type of graffiti in orange paint, with some now reported in Blockley.

"We will be logging all the incidents as criminal damage.

"We will be contacting schools once they return after school holidays to try and identify the culprits.

"The last graffiti at the train station has a 'tag' saying POLARK.

"If this means anything to you or you may know who the culprit is, call police on 101 quoting incident number 208 of April 14."
