South Gloucestershire Council have revealed that the A4174 Ring Road will be closed overnight for essential maintenance work.
Work will be carried through the night of this Sunday, April 28.
It will be focussing on repairing and improving the safety barriers between carriageways.
On their Facebook page, the Streetcare team said: "Lane 2 of the ring road will be closed in both directions starting at Avon Valley Bridge.
"The closures will roll along the A4174 as the works progress across each roundabout to finish at Bromley Heath on 14 May.
"Lane 1 will then be closed in both directions from 15 May until 5 July, again starting at Avon Valley Bridge and moving towards Bromley Heath.
"The closures will be in place between 8pm and 5.30am only.
"We apologise for the disruption the lane closures will cause and thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential repairs."
