THE manager of a Nailsworth supermarket is celebrating 40 years of service.
Bob Martin, who has managed the Co-op branch in Old Market for the last 15 years, joined the high street retailer four decades ago, starting out at the Cheltenham branch.
Over the years he has worked in many different roles within the business.
Bob, 57, from Stonehouse, said: “I’ve supported my family bought up three children while working for the Co-op.
“I’m Co-op through and through now.
“I like the ethics of the business.”
Bob said his favourite part of the job is meeting people.
“It’s nice to talk to them and have that contact,” he said.
Bob’s colleagues surprised him with a specially made cake and buffet in store.
