WOODCHESTER Valley Vineyard are at the market this Saturday. They’ve had an exciting few months in the winery making and bottling their latest wines from the outstanding 2018 harvest.

The next few months will see the return of the Sauvignon Blanc as well as the release of their other 2018 still wines, including the beautifully pale and delicate Pinot Rosé. The Reserve Cuvée sparkling wine is a classic blend of the holy trinity of Champagne grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, which has been patiently aged for 22 months in bottle. The result is an exquisitely balanced sparkling wine. You can be one of the first to try these new wines by joining them at their exclusive launch tasting on Friday, May 31.

In addition, this month they welcomed the arrival of the new 2017 vintage of Orpheus Bacchus. This is a limited release made from Bacchus grapes which have been carefully selected from their best vineyard sites and then bottle aged to be perfect for drinking.

Lastly, they have bottled their next batch of red wines! The Pinot Noir was overwhelmingly popular when released in December last year but there’s more on the way. The 2017 batch won’t be available until this winter but the new Atcombe Red will be launching this summer, a perfect accompaniment to a good old-fashioned British barbecue.

Also at the market, The Old Cheese Room make fresh and aged cheeses the farmhouse way by hand using Organic Jersey cow’s milk.
