THIS YEAR’S Nailsworth Festival kicked off with free entertainment in Mortimer Gardens.

The morning included entertainment for all the family and there was a market and other activities across town including duck races in the brook running through Mortimer Gardens and buskers in Market Street.

Other festival highlights are set to include Britpop act The Real People, the Elias String Quartet, Points West presenter Seb Choudhury in conversation, country-blues and soulful Americana from Brooks Williams, duets and ensembles from some of Puccini’s most famous female heroines from Opera Anywhere and Strangers on a Train Set from LipService.
