A 79-year-old man who went missing in Slimbridge last night has been found safe.
There had been concern for the welfare of Thomas Richardson who is visiting the area from his home in Faringdon, Oxfordshire and staying at the Tudor Caravan Park.
He said he was going for a walk but had not returned and did not have his medication or a mobile phone with him.
A police helicopter spotted Thomas in dense undergrowth close to the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. Officers administered first aid at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said: "We would like to thank everyone for sharing our appeal and helping us find Mr Richardson."
