A girl who was born 10 weeks early is taking part in a charity walk to raise money for a charity helping premature babies.
Lila Turner, now aged nine and living in Bussage, weighed just 2lbs 4oz when she was born, and spent the first six weeks of her life in hospital.
Now approaching her tenth birthday, Lila and friends will walk from Toadsmoor to Stroud on June 15 to raise money for Bliss, a charity supporting babies born premature or sick.
Lila's family have been raising money her entire life and are closing in on £10,000.
Mum Donna said: "When she was born nobody was allowed to come and see her. When she came out I made my own donation box."
"We thought we'd try and do 10 grand before she's 10.
"We thought we'd finish it off with something for her to do."
The group will be carrying collection buckets on their walk. You can also donated by clicking
