FIVE people including a 17-year-old youth are alleged to have dealt cocaine and heroin in Stroud and Gloucester, a court was told.

The charges they face of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs relate to April of this year, Gloucester crown court was told on Friday.

Caleb Goggins, 18, of Hatherley Road, Gloucester; 18-year-old James Joyce of Hucclecote Road, Gloucester, Matthew Edrich of no fixed abode and a 17-year-old youth from Podsmead, Gloucester who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before His Honour Judge Timothy Rose at a hearing charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs in April this year.

But 31-year-old Sallie-Ann Lane of Target Close, Stroud, who failed to appear at a previous hearing, did not attend and a previously issued warrant for her arrest remains in force.

Edrich and Joyce both pleaded not guilty to possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply on April 24 this year.

Goggins pleaded guilty to both charges. The 17 year old will enter his pleas at a later date.

Edrich and Joyce will both stand trial on October 14 and Goggins will be sentenced at the completion of the trial.

The 17-year-old was remanded on bail into the care of the local authority and Goggins was remanded in custody.

Joyce was released on conditional bail.
