POLICE are advising residents to be on their guard after an attempted break-in in the Stroud area.
Thieves had attempted to gain access via the rear of a public building in Cashes Green.
A police spokesman said: "Luckily no items have been taken, and the doors to the building have now been made secure.
"Local residents have been spoken to and enquiries have been made to gain any information.
"I would urge you all to double check your outbuildings to make sure they are all secure."
