A Cam man faces a trial after he denied breaking into a house and stealing jewellery and other items.
Kaine Emery of Frederick Thomas Road, pleaded not guilty at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday to burglary of a house in Cam Green on August 24 last year.
The burglar was captured on internal CCTV in the property but 23-year-old Emery maintains that the man in the images was not him, according to prosecuting barrister Gordon Richings.
Defending lawyer Sarah Jenkins confirmed the case revolved around a question of identity.
His Honour Judge Paul Cook told the defendant: “We cannot fix a trial date today but one will be fixed as soon as possible.”
The trial is expected to last for one-and-a-half days and Emery was granted unconditional bail.
