Hawkesbury Upton children have been suggesting new laws to their MP Luke Hall.
The Thornbury and Yate MP visited Hawkesbury Upton Primary School on Friday to talk about Brexit and school funding.
He explained the job of a member of parliament, and what the process was for making laws in this country, before asking the children to make suggestions for some new laws.
These included reducing single-use plastics, closer monitoring of the health impacts of vaping, reducing cruelty to animals and animal testing and reducing homelessness.
Luke also made assurances about the work he is doing to address the imbalance in the National Funding formula for schools.
Currently South Gloucestershire receives the smallest amount of money per pupil in the country.
