The owner of a Stroud coffee shop has hit out at an angry customer that reduced a member of staff to tears.

Kerri Vernon, the owner of Kitsch Coffee & Wine Bar in Ebley Wharf, asked the customer not to come into the shop again in a post on Facebook.

She said she was 'absolutely appalled' by the behaviour of the customer who threatened to leave a bad review on social media and personally attacked a member of staff, reducing her to tears.

Kerri said: "Repeating the phrase ‘I am an unhappy customer and will leave a bad review’ will not get you what you want.

"If you do decide to leave that bad review, I’ll let you have my response now.

"You may be an ‘unhappy customer’, You have made me an unhappy owner, and my member of staff an unhappy person- yes they are a person and deserve to be treated like one. Please do not come into Kitsch again as unpleasant behaviour is not acceptable.

"To all our other customers- thank you for being our customers, we are blessed to have you."

Kerri, who founded Kitsch as an 18-year-old, moved the shop to Ebley Wharf back in 2014, after first opening on Stroud High Street in 2012. It moved to its current premises in 2017.
